Chihiro Minato
Born in 1960 in Kanagawa Prefecture. Photographer, visual anthropologist. Professor of information design at Tama Art University. His book, Memory: Powers of Creation and Remembering (Kodansha, 1996), was awarded the Suntory Prize for Social Sciences and Humanities. Commissioner of the Busan Biennale (2006), artistic director of the Aichi Triennale (2016). Major works include La Grotte (Serika Shobo, 2001).
