Buying photography isn’t as easy as it seems, it is important to consider several things in buying art work. Even going through a gallery can be complicated, what is a work worth? Who is the artist? Is it framed? Provenance?
Now, photography as art-form has become more popular and the opportunity to purchase work has increased with online galleries, alternative places to purchase, as well as self producing artists. For photography lovers and those trying to get into the market it is an opportune but confusing time.
For this event we welcome Megumi Matsuo, director of VOICE GALLERY pfs/w, Kyoto and Dai Nomoto, director of the KOBE 819 GALLERY.
